The Institute of Training & Occupational Learning (ITOL) is the UK's elite professional body for trainers and learning & development professionals. In the year 2000, UK government granted the Institute status to ITOL.
How to Become the Certified Supply Chain Manager?
Step 1 – Build your core supply chain knowledge
Your first step is to complete the Post Graduate Diploma in Supply Chain Management (PGDSCM). This course gives you the core knowledge needed to understand how supply chains work in real organisations.
You will learn how materials, purchasing, production, transport, stock, suppliers, customers and delivery are connected. This helps you understand how to plan and manage a smooth and efficient supply chain.
Step 2 – Strengthen your marketing and product understanding
Your second step is to complete the Post Graduate Diploma in Marketing and Brand Management (PGDMBM). Supply chain managers do not only move products. They also need to understand markets, customers, product positioning and brand value. This knowledge is useful because a successful supply chain must support customer demand, product availability and business growth. Important: PGDSCM and PGDMBM must both be completed within a combined period of one (1) year.
Step 3 – Apply for the CSCM credential issued by ITOL (UK)
After completing both PGDSCM and PGDMBM, you may apply for the CSCM certification. To apply, you need to submit your CV showing at least two years of work experience in supply chain management or a related field. BiMS may contact your professional referees to verify your work experience. After successful verification, you will be awarded the Certified Supply Chain Manager (CSCM) digital certificate issued by ITOL (UK). A processing fee of Tk. 10,000 applies.
